With September coming to a close, I decided it was the perfect time to take part in my first blog linkup with Leslie @ BooksAreTheNewBlack!

This is the ‘Birthstone Book Covers’ meme – the idea is you put together 5 or more book covers that correspond to the birthstone of the month! September’s stone is sapphire, so I went on a mission to find the bluest cover images I could. I took Leslie’s advice and only used books from my Goodreads shelf. Sifting through my Goodreads catalogue looking for blue books was way more fun than I thought it would be – here’s what I came up with:

Including Bluets on the list was a no-brainer – if you haven’t read it, it’s a beautiful book that is quite literally a love letter to the colour blue!
